Site wide Links VS Links placed inside the articles

First of all we have to clear the difference between these two types of links to give a better comparative analysis. Site wide links are those links placed on every web page of a website. These links are mostly placed at the bottom part of a webpage. While the links placed inside the articles occasionally occur as a reference throughout the article body. These links can also be placed in the title or the resource box of an article to direct traffic towards related website. Let’s have a look that these links are more beneficial for a webmaster as compared to site wide links.

More clicks, high page rank

Firstly if links are placed inside the articles then the chances of being clicked is much more than a site wide link placed in the end of the page. Reason is that inside links are placed according to the point being discussed in the sentence which make user to click it to get more related information. For example in a sentence “exploring the phenomenon of radioactivity”, another site with useful information about radioactivity can be linked by placing its URL in the word of ‘Radioactivity’. In the same way this URL can be placed in the end of article under the heading of ‘related articles’. Giving a reference during reading is much better than putting it in the bottom of page where a user hardly can see it.

More chances to direct traffic between linked sites

Secondly a site with articles having reference links in them is more likely to attract reader as compared to one having side wide links in the end section. More readers want to visit the site again more traffic you will generate and more chances you will get to turn this huge traffic towards other sites connected through links placed inside articles. Strong readership means more visitors and huge traffic means high page rank. So proper placement links inside the articles improves the site page rank and increases its traffic. While on the other hand site wide links give no assurance to improve site traffic at all.

Built writer’s credibility and proves his professionalism

Thirdly it will boost the reputation and credibility of a writer producing such well researched and informative content for a site. It will be a proof of his professionalism and build a strong readership for the respective site. Visitors will take interest in reading the articles of a writer whose content is well researched and informative.

Increased product sales increased revenue generation

Fourthly huge traffic will generate huge revenue. So placing links inside the articles not only build a strong credibility of writer producing content there but also enhances the sales and popularity of products and services being sold on the site. This thing can drastically improve the sales of a product site and can increase the amount of revenue generated by google adsense. While site wide links give no surety to improve the product sales and to increased adsense revenue.

Improved Google ranking

Fifthly all these factors mentioned above finally improve the ranking of site in all search engines. Google gives very much importance to the number of links coming towards your site from other sites and links placed inside the articles improves the chances to turn huge traffic towards your site from every site where they have been published. So these links also improves the site ranking in google search as compared to site wide links which hardly do anything in this regard.

Improved Alexa ranking

Sixthly heavy traffic generated by links placed inside the articles also improves Alexa ranking for the site which is another plus point a website gets through these links easily.

After analyzing all these factors you can conclude that links placed inside the articles are much better choice as compared to site wide links when it comes to boost your business, revenue and reputation. So from now your first priority should be to place links inside the articles rather than placing site wide links on every page of a website.
